call delay

hi guy's
how do stop the delay in connecting to phone numbers even when dialing a local number. i have set my 'no entery dial' t0 1 second and still it takes few seconds to my call(s) gets connected to it's destination, any idea as how to get rid of this?

hi sammyjay and welcome to voip user!

you're in the voip over wifi forum which is i suspect the wrong place.

can you give us a clue so we know where to move it? it would help if we knew which service provider you were referring to?

if it's voip user, it's probably not something you can change at your end. we do have a slight delay between dialling and the various lookups happening. we are working toward improving that, but we have to keep our servers relatively low spec in order to keep within budget (budget being "spend as little as possible to keep as much as possible in the pot").
