clear debian install instructions

i have a debian machine on which i want to install the sipxbpx.
however, there are no deb builds, and neither any clear instructions.

unclear instructions i have found:
http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/ ... bian_linux

problem:
many commands and operations are specific to his system (ao: how to get sources and the script). also my system is not a fresh install.

i've tried converting a .rpm to a .deb using alien. but now the installed .deb complains about a missing /etc/init.d/functions.sh, which is a gentoo file.

can anyone help me install sipx please.

there is some effort towards a debian distribution. i suspect that with the 3.0 release becoming stable, you should see .deb files for debian and ubuntu. the mailing list is good place to look for that.
