ingate shows their srtp encryption works with snom
i'm hearing reports on the von grapevine that ingate are demoing their products, which use srtp encryption, using snom hardware proving interoperability between their products and those from snom.
other companies, i hope, will now take a hint and play "catch up". security is one of the aspects of voip which have delayed mainstream adoption by corporates (the other is redundancy). if we can get over this hurdle, the money subsequently pumped into corporate voip infrastructure will ultimately filter down the food chain to the consumer.
that's good for everybody.
